He was born on 29 September 1981 in Dobrich. He completed his secondary education at St. Kliment Ohridski, Dobrich, majoring in accordion. In 2006 he graduated as a Bachelor of Arts at the AMTII “Prof. Assen Diamandiev” Plovdiv with a degree in music pedagogy and accordion and went to Barcelona where he won a competition for concertmaster of the Barcelona Accordion Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Sabadei – Catalonia and became the first Bulgarian to play in both central accordion orchestras of Catalonia. Later he obtained a Master’s degree at the University of Barcelona with a specialisation in music pedagogy in the class of Rosa Maria Girbau, President of the Catalan Association of Educators, and a specialisation in conducting in the class of the great conductor Edmond Elkstrom. For eleven years he has taught accordion, solfège and choral singing at the Liceu Conservatorio de Superior – Barcelona. In 2011 he was invited to teach and conduct the Accordion Orchestra of the island of Menorca – Spain, where he worked for 5 years.
He is a laureate of national and world competitions, such as:
- 1st prize at the competition “Coast of Hope” – in 1998
- 1st prize at the world competition in Fivizzano – Italy, with the accordion orchestra of the St. Kliment Ohridski – Dobrich
- 1st prize at the competition “Young Musical Talents” in 1999.
- 2nd Prize at the “Academic Competition for the Performance of Works by Johann Sebastian Bach” – 2004Golden Diploma and 1st Prize at the UNESCO World Competition “GOLDEN KEY” for instrumental and original music – 2021, etc.
He participates in many different musical projects, chamber ensembles, World Music groups, Folk music, classical music, solo concerts, etc. He has performed at venues such as Palau de la musica catalana -Barcelona, Gran Teatre del Liceu- Barcelona, J. С. Bach in Leipzig, Grand Opera Paris, etc. He participates in theatre plays as composer and musician, performances of several music companies. He teaches accordion master classes for classical music and Balkan music. He lectures on pedagogical topics.
