Christiana Loizou is known to the audience as the winner of the popular TV show “The X Factor” – Bulgaria.
Born and raised in Larnaca, Cyprus, she began singing with her vocal teacher, Silva Makamian, at the age of 12. During his studies he won many awards at music competitions, which undoubtedly proves his talent. In 2007 moved to Sofia, Bulgaria, where he received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” with a degree in “Opera Singing” and “Vocal Pedagogy”.
In 2010 won a new achievement on the stage of the talent show “Get on Stage” in Cyprus, where he won a scholarship for a course at the SLP College of Performing Arts in Leeds, UK. In 2014 together with Maria Moskofiyan he is auditioning for the presentation of Cyprus at Eurovision – 2015. with the song “Sailing Ships, Pirates and Dragons”.
A strong start for Christiana’s stage presence is given by “The X Factor”, Bulgaria (2015). After winning it, he signed a contract with one of the leading music companies in Bulgaria – “Virginia Records”. The same year she released her debut song – “Phoenix”. Her second song “One in One” was written in collaboration with the popular Olof Lindskog, Hayley Aitken and Jai Waetford.
Her artistic appearance is versatile and Christiana Loizou proves this with her various incarnations in recent years:
from April 2016 until September 2017 plays the main role of Mary Magdalene in the concert version of the rock opera “Jesus Christ – Superstar”;
2018 received the lead role of Christine Day in “The Phantom of the Opera” (Musical Theater “Stefan Makedonski” – Sofia);
2019 follows the role of Hava in “Violinist on the Roof”.
2020 won 3rd place in the TV show “The Masked Singer”, hidden under the costume of “The Predator”.
He is currently playing the role of Daisy Buchanan in the musical “The Great Gatsby” and “The Phantom of the Opera” at the National Musical Theater “Stefan Makedonski” – Sofia.
