Iskren Tonchev was born on May 10, 1993 in Burgas, and started singing at a very young age. The musical instruments he can play are piano, saxophone and flute. He started beatboxing at the age of 13. Like any young enthusiast, he starts trying on his own at home. First he imitates the sounds of the drum kit, then he adds other instruments. A few years later, he won the beatboxing championship in Bulgaria, after which he went to the world championship in Berlin.
At the age of 19, he started making beats and moved to Sofia. He started working with some of the most popular Bulgarian artists – Mihaela Fileva, Miro, Grafa, Santra, Zhana Bergendorff, Dara Ekimova, Dara, Papi Hans, Pavel and Venci Wentz, Atanas Kolev, Moisei, Plamen and Ivo, etc.
He produced a lot of songs that reached number one on the music charts and were viewed over 100 million times. The audience’s favorite performance is “Remember”. Other famous pieces are “Sagapao” and “Apology” in a duet with the pop artist Dara Ekimova, “Unexpected turn” together with Grafa, “We play for victory” and “I dance only for you” in a duet with Mihaela Fileva, as well as the individual “Only mine” and “Unknown place”. In 2022, his smash hits “The Black Road” and “First and Last (Remix)” will be released, and in 2023, his first EP of 4 songs – “Beautiful packaging”. Iskren Tonchev – Iskrata is behind absolutely every part of this project – music, arrangement, lyrics, recording, mix, master, as well as the creative visual concept.
He has been teaching Beatboxing since 2015 until now, in individual and group form, he also leads group trainings in songwriting in master classes.
