Julia Nenova has graduated the National Music Academy “Prof. Pantcho Vladigerov”. Her teachers were the famous Bulgarian professors Tamara Yankova and Galunka Belcheva. Her chamber music teacher is Konstantin Kugiisky.
From an early age Julia showed interest in chamber music, which eventually determined her professional development as a member of the piano duo Elena Peeva – Julia Nenova. Julia has played a lot of concerts and recitals in her duo as well as as a solo performer with several orchestras conducted by Vasil Stefanov, Yordan Gafov, etc. The piano duo has been part of the Music Festival in Baden-Baden in Germany several times as well as other festivals and performances in Germany, Luxemburg and the Czech Republic. The duo has given masterclasses in the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts Brno, Czech Republic and has also recorded a CD in Germany. The CD contains compostitions for four hands of the renowned German pianist Heinrich Neugeboren, whose works they premiered.
Julia has had numerous concerts with different singers and instrumentalists but her main focus has been teaching piano. She teaches in the National School of Music and Performing Arts “Pancho Vladigerov” in Burgas, where she’s been the head for 18 years. Her students have won over 200 awards from national and international competitions in Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, England, Germany, Spain, France, Switzerland, Japan, Serbia, Greece, etc. Julia Nenova is often part of international juries and has received certificates from big international competitions like “Karl Filtch” in Romania, “Ama Calabria” in Italy, “Glory International Competition” in London and others in Geneva, Paris, Madrid, Tokyo, etc. She has been awarded lots of diplomas for her high achievements in teaching.
