Miroslav Dimov was born on August 11, 1989. From an early age he studied piano and percussion at NUMSI “Hristina Morfova” Stara Zagora. In 2008 was admitted to the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, in the percussion class of Prof. Dr. Tatiana Karparova.
In 2012 and 2013 he graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree, and in the meantime was invited as a guest lecturer in percussion at NUMSI “Hr. Morfova” Stara Zagora.
Since 2014 is a PhD student and hon. Assistant Percussion Instruments, headed by Prof. Dr. Tatiana Karparova at the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”. In 2017 after a successful competition he took the position of leader of a group of percussion instruments in the Academic Symphony Orchestra.
From 2019 He was also invited to teach at the National Music School “Lyubomir Pipkov” in Sofia, majoring in Percussion. In 2020 after successfully defending his dissertation he received the educational and scientific degree “Doctor”, and in 2021. After a successful competition he was appointed Chief Assistant in Percussion in the Department of Wind and Percussion Instruments at the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”.
During the student period he participated in over 340 solo and chamber productions. Implements projects for chamber formations – Thracian percussion group, Thracian soloists. He premiered with his transcriptions for percussion instruments of classical works by A. Vivaldi, D. Scarlatti, J. Pachelbel, J. S. Bach and others. He studied in master classes of Tatiana Koleva, Emanuel Sejurne, Bogdan Bakanu, Ivana Bilic, etc .. In 2013. won a scholarship in the competition from the Jordan Kamjalov Foundation.
Since 2015 spent one year studying under the Erasmus + program at the Académie supérieure de musique de Strasbourg, France under the guidance of one of the most famous and distinguished professionals in the world percussion school – Prof. Emanuel Sejourne, Prof. Denis Riedinger and Prof. Stefan Furge.
Soloist in various countries in Europe, including Bulgaria, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland and Poland.

2019 Nomination for Crystal Lyre in the category “Young Artist”.
In 2012 the marimba work “Odessa” by the American composer Matthew Lorick, specially dedicated to Miroslav Dimov, and later performed and recorded by him, gained great popularity in the United States with over 1,200 copies sold.
Miroslav Dimov’s concert for marimba, piano, percussion and string orchestra “Vast Worlds”, co-authored with Dr. Emelina Gorcheva, is gaining popularity outside the country. In March 2016 he performed it with the Strasbourg Philharmonic under the baton of conductor Etienne Bardon within the Bulgarian Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France. It is followed by premieres with various artists in China, Australia, USA, Japan and Great Britain. The concert is also included in the obligatory programs of percussion competitions in Bulgaria.
In 2018, 2019. and 2020 was invited as a member of the jury in the National Competition for the Performance of Bulgarian Music “Varban Varbanov” and the International Competition for the Performance of German and Austrian Music “MAGIC”, Burgas – specialty percussion instruments.
In 2019 he successfully realized the world premiere of the concert for Marimba, Vibrafon, Tapan and chamber orchestra by Emil Tabakov under his direction in Gabrovo, Varna and Sofia. The work gained popularity and was performed at the closing of the jubilee international festival “Sofia Music Weeks” under the baton of Prof. Plamen Djurov and Sofia Soloists.
In addition to traditional percussion training, it includes modern interactive forms of teaching.
